Where Were You When...

It's been six years since we were attacked on 9/11. Where were you? I can remember that morning as clear as if it were yesterday. It's weird how a day like that can be so imprinted on your brain. It was a Tuesday morning, I was in college (in bed actually) and my brother called my cell phone. He told me to turn on the TV. And I watched everything unfold live from my TV, standing there, alone in my apartment. I went to my first class of the day to tell everyone what had happened (a lot of people didn't know)and then as a class, we watched as the towers collapsed. It was very emotional. After that, I found out my father was in NYC for a business meeting...I had no idea where he was in the city, for all I knew, he was in the towers. But he wasn't...he was blocks away...and by some miracle, I reached him with my cell phone and confirmed that he was okay. I know a lot of people weren't blessed with the same relief as I was on that morning and so today, I say a prayer for you.
