Last night, we represented The Brandywine A-List at the Wilmington, DE movie premiere of Jack of Clubs at Theatre N at Nemours. Brothers Gordon and Greg Delgiorno created this touching film and they were the hosts of the evening...such great guys!
Dan and Cristina were our dates and we had a fabulous time. The evening began with hors d'œuvres @ Sugarfoot (that we couldn't even get to because of the hourds of people...I wasn't even sure if they could breathe let alone eat being packed in there so tightly together!) Following this, and since we weren't ready to be mauled by a bunch of nicely dressed people drinking cocktails & breathing ever so closely on eachother, we took a quick walk and enjoyed latte's @ Presto, one of our favorite coffee bars in the city. Presto has excellent atmosphere, delicious gourmet food(vegetarian friendly!), really friendly baristas, wi-fi, and sweet bathroom facilities with listerine and hand lotion...seriously, what more could a person want?
After this...we headed back to the Theatre where we enjoyed freshly popped popcorn served in quaint red & white boxes, sat in very comfy seats, and experienced an excellently executed film that touched us and made us laugh! The movie revolved around a Boys and Girls Club in DE...if you don't know anything about this organization, I implore you to find out more and do what you can to support their mission...it's a wonderful example of how each of us can touch the life of a child and truly make a difference!
As a bonus, after the movie, we got to go back downstairs and enjoy some scrumptious desserts and to top it off, goodie bags to go! Oh what a night.
