A Burchnall Family Christmas includes:
*Lots & lots of movies, including: It's A Wonderful Life, The Family Stone, Elf, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Frosty the Snowman, A Muppet Christmas Carol, Charlie Brown Christmas, Scrooged, Meet Me In St. Louis, A Christmas Story, and more of A Christmas Story.
*Spending time with family and friends, who mean the world to us!
*Chopping down and trimming a fresh tree from the local farm (and watching the cats eat the branches, run around under the branches, swat the ornaments, and attempt to get in it...all while we hope it doesn't fall down!)
*Putting up white Christmas lights outside our house, this year with fresh garland around the door!
*Lighting the advent candles daily and anticipating the day of Christ's birth.
(old Thomas family tradition)
*Going no where near a mall or other chain stores and putting off gift buying till the last possible minute...
*Listening to Christmas music 24/7...no exceptions (Jenna's vice, not Dusty's)
*Eating all the yummy food possible...cookies anyone?
*Parties, parties, and more parties
*Listening to tons of old records, including the favorite, Perry Como.
*Celebrating Dusty's b-day
*Cream cheese and crab scrambled eggs & homemade cinnamon buns on Christmas morning
*Celebrating the gift of life with simplicity and sincerity
*Going to church on Christmas Eve at midnight and singing "Silent Night" by candlelight (w/Gina)
*Being thankful for all of the amazing gifts that God has blessed our lives with, most importantly, the gift of His Son, Jesus.
*Merry Christmas! God Bless us...every one!
