Listening to the Rain

I am sitting at home, listening to the rain as it hits the trees...what a wonderful sound. My father and I used to sit on our porch at our old home in Parkside and listen to the thunderstorms together. We'd take in the scent of the rain, feel the wind whip around, and brace for the loud claps of thunder. I've been fascinated with storms ever since. It's those memories that anchor us through life...no matter where we go. Something else my father and I enjoy doing together is watching movies and listening to music. We were able to do both on Sunday when we saw the movie ONCE. It's an excellent film with transcendent talent and depth. Marketa Irglova is remarkable in this. She is only 19 years old and has never been on the screen before. If you see the movie, you'll realize how amazing that statement truly is. Go see it...you won't be disappointed.
