Race for the Cure

Every Mother's Day, my dad wakes up at 4am and travels into the city of Philadelphia...why you ask? Because it's the annual Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure! This is a tremendous and meaningful event for many. Check out these survivor stories. What a way to spend this special day, in honor of so many amazing people!

75% of the money raised by the Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure® stays right here in our community for education, screening and treatment. The remaining 25% goes towards national research, some of which re-enters our local community via Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grants to area hospitals
