A Rose and A Prayer

Just some food for thought. Today, Tuesday, the 24th of April, a group of people in our area are delivering roses to the representatives of DE. Why you ask? They feel it is a tangible way of asking that Senate Bill 5 be defeated (a bill that, if passed, would give official state approval of human cloning and embryonic stem cell research in DE). I thought I'd post some information on this to bring awareness that this is happening today and to challenge you to ask, "what do I believe about this?"

A little background info:
A Rose and a Prayer is a group of Delawareans who are committed to stopping legislation that would legalize cloning and the destruction of human embryos for medical research...A Rose and A Prayer advocates funding for adult stem cell research and opposes research on human embryos. Adult stem cells–which have already contributed to treatments for 65 diseases, including cancer, lupus, heart disease, and spinal cord injury–do not require researchers to destroy embryos and are a morally acceptable alternative to the destruction of human embryonic stem cells.
